Aerogel insulation blankets: excellent thermal insulation energy-saving materials

Aerogel insulation blankets is a material with a singular thermal insulation and sound insulation properties. It has been around for over 70 years (invented in 1931). It is formed by replacing the liquid components of the gel with light gas silica amorphous material. Its morphology is porous three-dimensional network structure, in which the solid volume accounts for only 3%, and the remaining 97% of the volume is composed of air in the very fine nano-scale pores with little room for air movement, thus inhibiting convection and gas phase heat transfer. These features make aerogels the lowest density solid and the most effective insulation in the world.

For decades, the superior properties of aerogel have been studied. Although excellent thermal insulation properties of aerogel, but because of its great brittleness, long time no practical application. After years of research, China joda aerogels has developed a technically and economically feasible aerogel insulation products. Joda uses a unique process to combine an aerogel with a carrier (fiber mat) to form a flexible, durable high-performance sheet-type thermal insulation blanket that has been successfully commercialized.

Aerogel insulation blankets material properties

1. Thermal performance

Thermal conductivity is the lowest of any industrial insulation.

Insulation performance is 2 to 8 times better than traditional materials, with the same or better insulation effect with lighter weight, smaller volume or thinner thickness.

Operating temperature range is very wide (-200 ℃ ~ 600 ℃).

2. Physical properties

Excellent hydrophobicity, water does not reduce performance.

Flame retardant performance is excellent, the flame does not spread, do not smoke.

Acoustic performance, good damping performance.

Soft, flexible. Because of the sheet, it can be the same as the cloth winding, which does not occupy space, shipping and construction convenience.

Good resilience, even in the 7Mpa pressure can rebound.

Can withstand high impact load, no damage, no loss of performance.

3. Environmental performance

No chemical hazards to the environment. It is based on silicon oxide, which is sand. This adiabatic product does not contain inhalable fibers and does not use blowing agents and therefore does not contain chlorofluorocarbons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons.

The production process consumes less energy.

Aerogel insulation blankets is classified as non-irritating and does not support mold growth.
